THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Nazarlik Restaurant Review

: We’ve probably had less expensive Turkish food and we’ve definitely indulged in it in a more stylish setting. But we’d be hard-pressed to say we’ve had more flavorful Turkish food than we enjoy at this Lakeview spot. The restaurant's version of lahmacum, a Turkish-style oval-shaped pizza topped with minced meat and vegetables, has a crust that's wafer-thin but still has a pleasant chewiness. Baba ghanouj has a wonderful smoky flavor. And the shepherd’s salad---chopped tomatoes, cucumber, onions, green bell peppers, dill and parsley---may look simple enough, but the freshness of the ingredients makes it seem otherwise. The small menu also offers lamb, chicken and ground lamb kebabs, as well as cigkofte, a complex combination of couscous, raw beef and spices that requires two-hour’s notice to allow for its preparation.
