New Delhi Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Expect Northern Indian choices for carnivores and vegetarians in a dramatic white-tablecloth dining room with vintage appeal. A spacious bar fronts the establishment where Union Square locals take advantage of happy hour specials, including complimentary Indian appetizers. Watch for charismatic chef-owner Ranjan Dey.

Great Indian in the US!
by AlexRiggs on Mon Apr 09, 2012 9:42 am
I LOVE INDIAN FOOD! I eat Indian food when I can. And the best, hands down, I have ever had, is in England. But now I have a favorite place in San Francisco, and this is it. The food is fantastic, I was there with 4 friends and we all tried each others dishes; 2 of them from the UK. They also loved the main dishes. We also had a few of the cocktails and were very impressed. They infuse their own gin for the lychee martini. Must try it if you like Indian.
Great evening - don't skip the bar!

Fresh and fabulous Indian delights. Every meal is a pleasure and an adventure. The service is warm and knowledgeable. The food flavorful, plentiful and perfectly spiced. The cocktails propel New Delhi into outerspace. All are original, delicious and deceptively alcoholic - especially the lychee martini.
Great, great food

Some friends took me here and I was skeptical at first, but when we passed the dark wood bar and went into this giant spacious dining room with white linen table cloths and seriously tall marble columns, I was prepared to change my mind.
The food was great! I had mango prawns that were delicious and my friends ordered an assortment of curries and masalas that were all wonderful. We finished it all off with some mango ice cream and a couple of cocktails. Come here and prepare to be blown away.
