THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED New Orleans House Restaurant Review: Get ready for serious eating. This is the daddy of all seafood buffets---and it's not just quantity. The quality of the dishes has kept this landmark going for more than 20 years. Plans are afoot to move the location, but not alter the success of the unlimited offerings that include mammoth bowls of peel-and-eat jumbo shrimp, crab legs, oysters on the half shell, mussels, scallops in an enticing sauce and platters of fried frog legs passed at the table. Salad fixings, plenty of veggies, Cajun specialties and even barbecue ribs are included and for a minimal additional charge you also can order a steak or whole lobster. Dessert offerings are not forgotten. We love the huge strawberries to be enjoyed shortcake-style or to pile on ice cream, but you also can eat yourself silly with creamy pies and rich confections.
