THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED NEYLA Mediterranean Bistro Restaurant Review:

Beloved Middle Eastern restaurant NEYLA closed its doors in Georgetown. But it relocated to Reston, in the site of the former Paolo’s facing the main square and water fountain. Brighter, airier and much more modern than its G’town predecessor, this swanky version is both bistro and bar with the main focus on its Mediterranean foods. Every dish has a special appeal, but the absolute “musts” are the creamy baba ghanouj with charred eggplant and the rich hummus. Served at dinnertime, the dolmas (stuffed chard leaves), the roasted eggplant, the crispy calamari and the kibbeh (beef dumplings) are also requisite Mediterranean treats. Main courses at lunch include shwarma sandwiches and assorted salads, and in the evening, you can make your full meal from the small plates. But the big evening highlights are the spit-roasted lamb shoulder atop green wheat pilaf and the grilled wheat kafta atop roasted potatoes. Desserts include baklava, a cannoli with apricot cream, and ice cream. A handful of specialty cocktails and a few select white and red wines are set to accompany any meal.
