This suit-populated downtown restaurant---a classy companion to casual street-level seafooder Nick’s Fishmarket Grill---continues its tradition of serving fresh seafood amidst a subtle maritime backdrop that's washed in blue hues. An LED-back-lit wall adds a pleasant glow. Start with one of the well-executed classics, perhaps creamy spinach and bacon-flecked oysters Rockefeller or über-garlicky escargots. Not surprisingly, the menu is serious about its namesake catches, and the flaky, moist saké-soy-glazed sea bass is not to be missed. But it’d be remiss not to mention the spendy (but utterly decadent) lobster Thermidor, too. For dessert, the Key lime pie holds its own. Upstairs, the vibe is more casual and the menu more affordable. (Think flatbreads, sliders and simply grilled fish.) |
