Night Market Restaurant Review:

Night Market, an Asian street food-inspired restaurant in Harvard Square, offers small plates including Filipino spring rolls made with pork, shrimp and green curry cashew pesto; and scallops on a skewer. Step down to the subterranean location, and the first thing you will notice is the brightly painted, artistically decorated walls and exposed beams. Servers announce daily specials and present fun cocktails like saké slushes to hungry diners. Portions are small, but the menu is large and varied, so be prepared to order a few selections. Dishes focus on sweet and savory --- coconut kaya toast comes with a soft, oozing poached egg for dipping. Minced meat and rice is hearty and satisfying; we like the dan dan noodles, which we kick up with some extra hot sauce (available upon request).
