Niko Niko Sushi Restaurant Review

: Let’s face it---every time we crave sushi, we can’t blow a chunk of the mortgage at Urasawa or Mori. Sometimes we need a quick fix and a bargain-priced chain is the best way to scratch the itch. Many of those outlets are almost impossible to endure, but Niko Niko is a pleasant surprise. The service is accommodating, the menu extensive and the modern, hip dining room doesn’t smell fishy. In fact, from the minute your server sets down a complimentary bowl of edamame, a meal here can be quite satisfying. Among a selection of 30-plus rolls is popcorn lobster, with a generous fistful of tempura-fried crustacean sitting atop a cut roll filled with asparagus, spicy tuna and avocado. Surprisingly high quality sashimi is attractively plated, and grilled fish and teriyaki dishes are quite respectable. Other locations.
