Nine on Nine Restaurant Review: Nine on Nine reveals an elegant ambience and discriminating taste in every detail --- from the cool palette of navy, silver and white, to the Riedel glassware, hefty utensils and handsome china. Well-trained servers, wearing long white French bistro aprons, tune in amiably to the restaurant’s sophisticated vibes. The kitchen translates American dishes into contemporary statements --- focusing sharply on quality ingredients. Lunch brings, among expected items, Kobe burgers on house-made rolls. In the evening, the main dining room serves an à la carte menu, a six-course Chef's Tasting menu ($65) and a three-course theater menu ($35). The post-theater crowd can find a “Nine after Nine” appetizers option; selections are seasonal and market-driven, but signatures include lobster mac ‘n’ Taleggio cheese. All desserts are thoughtfully constructed: try buttermilk panna cotta with frozen lemon curd and fresh blueberries (in season), or a flaky napoleon. Select a glass or bottle from the international wine list. The adjacent Bar Nine serves trendy cocktails, creative small plates and items à la carte from the main menu.
