Nino's Positano Restaurant Review: One of three Italian eateries in the Nino’s mini-empire, Nino’s Positano serves up classic dishes of the I-talian variety---try the lobster for two served fra diavolo-style; orecchiette with bay scallops, artichokes, mushrooms and spinach; or juicy chicken under a brick. The cozy yet airy Midtown space boasts golden-hued walls dotted with murals of the Italian Riviera, soft lighting and intimate banquette seating, making this a good place for a romantic dinner---though the eatery attracts business people and workers from the nearby UN building. The wine list is, as expected, heavy on the Italians, and the waiters are knowledgeable about pairing. At lunch a $24 prix-fixe menu is offered, and à la carte ordering is available as well. And, just as at the other Nino’s, water---sparkling or still---is always free.
