NM Cafe Restaurant Review:

Open from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Sundays from noon-4 p.m.), Neiman Marcus’ café is a relaxing respite for Fashion Show mall shoppers seeking lunch, dessert or cocktails. Its extensive menu is served in a dining room with wall-to-wall picture windows and a colorful bar, and on its lushly landscaped, shaded patio across the Strip from the Wynn resort. Among appetizers is the Mediterranean-inspired mezze sampler of hummus, tabbouleh, grilled chicken skewers and shrimp and creamy tzatziki. We also like the Moroccan lentil soup enhanced with lemon zest and sour cream. Imaginative salads include the pan-seared salmon filet salad with melted goat cheese, greens, hearts of palm, artichokes, heirloom cherry tomatoes and a light, creamy white balsamic vinaigrette, as well as the Baja salad with ancho-lime chicken, avocado, tomatoes, roasted corn, pepitas, greens, feta cheese, tortilla strips and cilantro-lime vinaigrette. Best among the variety of sandwiches is the tuna melt with cheddar on sourdough. Save room for the café’s chocolate chip, peanut butter and white chocolate macadamia cookies.
