No Da Te has done a great job of keeping itself a best-kept secret, and that's what locals like about this place, aside from the sushi. Fresh water eel is fatty and filling, while halibut carpaccio is topped with fresh uni. Tuesdays is all you can eat for $35, and happy hour is a virtual feeding frenzy ($25 for adults, $5 for kids). Sushi chefs are friendly. The restaurant's setting, simple and unassuming, seems out of step with the bling of El Paseo, but the well-heeled shoppers and ladies lunching don't seem to mind.
