Noho's Hawaiian Cafe Restaurant Review: For nearly 20 years, Noho’s has offered rain-soaked Portlanders a welcome taste of Hawaiian sunshine. Surfboards line the walls at the casual Southeast Portland restaurant and the warm service provides the relaxed feel of a vacation getaway. When weather permits, outdoor picnic tables are available. Entrées come in two sizes, both accompanied by rice and macaroni or a green salad. Tangy Kalua pig is served every Friday, but the most popular dishes are Phil's Ono Chicken and Kimo’s sweet Korean-cut short ribs. A huge yakisoba noodle selection is available with a choice of four sauces---but be forewarned: the garlic is wickedly hot. A second Portland island outpost is located on Northeast Fremont Street. |
