The spinach salad is well-made, and the grilled fish is fine.

THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Nonna Rose Restaurant Review

: A sister to Alioto's No. 8, this venue is a little more casual and lower in price than its famous upstairs sibling. Unfortunately, the offerings are hit-and-miss. Skip the gummy crab cakes and amateurish cioppino. The spinach salad is well-made, and the grilled fish is fine. Desserts are gooey which, depending on the whim of the diner, may be a plus or a minus.

Great food, Bad service

My family recently visited this restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf. It's a pretty small restaurant with a family feel. We had a large party. We all ordered our food and got it relatively quickly. Everything was delicious, I totally recommend the clam chowder (white). No complaints here with the food. However, we had to ask the waitress and manager numerous times for basic necessities like straws and napkins. Overall, would I go back? Yes, to get a to-go order.
