Nopi Restaurant Review: With such success at his four main delis (and deli-restaurant in Islington), it was only a matter of time before Yotam Ottolenghi opened his first full-on restaurant. The site is attractive with its white walls, marble floors and brass lights. The basement has long tables with the kitchen at one end. Head chef Ramael Scully and executive chef Sarit Packer produce dishes heavy on flavor, from scallops with pickled daikon and green apple to braised lamb belly with mixed mushrooms. Vegetarians are well taken care of; we also recommend the desserts. Dishes are made for sharing, but with prices hovering around £8 to £10 per dish and the recommendation of three savoury dishes per person, this comes up very pricey. However, breakfast is not expensive, and it’s convivial and popular.
