| The Northside Social is more than a neighborhood "joint." It has stark silver and black décor, polished servers and an innovative menu that includes comfort food like brisket, meatloaf and chicken potpie. Select from some of the best microbrew offerings around, and order an appetizer of Parmesan shrimp or toasted flatbread piled with pesto chicken and mozzarella. Then, soak up the atmosphere while thinking about an entrée. Choices range from creative salads to a clay pot fish dish of seafood baked in a white wine sauce with roasted tomatoes and kalamata olives. Desserts continue to add comfort, but with a twist; take the banana cream pie in a walnut-almond crust with a drizzle of caramel sauce as an example. Everyone may not know your name when you enter, but they soon will as you keep returning to this good find. |
