Slick, tony décor belies the fact that this popular neighborhood eatery is nestled in a shopping strip. It's the go-to place for innovative comfort dishes or designer cocktails, along with appetizers like a Beef & Bleu fondue of blue cheese sauce accompanied by seared tenderloin pieces, oven-roasted tomatoes and croutons for dipping, or duck confit egg rolls served with curry slaw and a spiced ginger sauce. Roasted vegetable Wellington encases eggplant, mushrooms, zucchini and goat cheese in puff pastry, and the spicy Korean pork arrives with rice dumplings and napa cabbage. Consider shrimp and grits or the signature beef brisket with Guinness stout sauce, green beans and mashed potatoes, too. Toasted coconut cake can be ordered to go if there's no room left for dessert.
