Northstar Cafe Restaurant Review: Owners Kevin and Katy Malhame have taken “working lunch” to a new level. Magazine-lined walls, couches, and a sunny patio are just some of the welcoming touches at this pleasant café. The theme here is fresh, organic and local. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menus are full of enticingly good and good-for-you choices. Noteworthy is the "Buddha Bowl" with pan-seared organic tofu or roasted chicken, long-grain organic brown rice with peanut sauce and bright veggies. The BBQ chicken flatbread with rotisserie roasted chicken, cheddar cheese, red peppers, onions, cilantro and peanuts is an option we’d gladly order again. If you are there for breakfast, order the Cloud Nine Pancakes, made with ricotta. The smoothies are made with the real thing---fresh fruit and plenty of it. After your meal, take time to sit back and relax over a drink from the eclectic beer, wine and cocktail list.
