THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Notorious Burgers Restaurant Review:
A burger is a burger, unless, that is, it's served in a dark, clubby man cave complete with a keg room and a bar with all kinds of spirits at the beck-and-call. And fries are fries, unless they’re crispy waffle fries smothered in shredded Dungeness crab, cheddar-Parmesan sauce and truffle oil. In this hip eatery from Joey and Cristina Maggiore (of the Tomaso Maggiore clan that long ruled the Italian restaurant landscape in the Valley), “beef is boss” is the mafia-speakeasy theme for signatures like the Capone burger topped with habanero-Jack cheese, pan-fried egg, avocado, sriracha and crispy onions. But dishes geared toward lighter diets are available, too, including the very good veggie burger of quinoa capped with roasted peppers, grilled zucchini, Cypress Grove goat cheese, sunflower sprouts and grilled onions.
