| Situated in the relatively undefined area some call SoHo West and others call Hudson Square, this Nueva Latina eatery serves up thoughtfully prepared tapas dishes in a sleek setting. The menu is separated into categories: platos frios, platos calientes, ceviches and ensaladas (a few entrée-size dishes are also available) meant to evoke small neighborhood eateries across Latin America. Not everything on the menu works, but there are several dishes that dazzle: the hamburger patty-sized croquette stuffed with ham, cod and chicken is harmony to the taste buds and the ceviches (particular the raw tuna variety) is fresh and flavorful (if not served in too small a portion). The umpteen concoctions of sangría are dangerous, but delicious. |
