| This is a tiny and precious place with dim lighting, a local crowd and chatty service. Expect enormous portions of refined fish, noodle and dumpling dishes. Start with bamboo steamed shrimp dumplings with a red pepper miso sauce before moving on to the five-spice chicken with a plum barbecue sauce, ginger scallion pancakes and an Asian apple salsa. It’s nothing exceptional, but it hits the spot and is more innovative than any of the bland take-out spots nearby. |

REVIEW OF THE WEEK
Built in 1907, The Oak Room at The Plaza is one of the more storied dining rooms in New York. The restaurant features an impressive seasonal American menu with obligatory indulgences like the foie gras PB&J (toasted brioche, foie gras, macadamia nut butter and grape jelly). After your meal, make it a Dinner and a Movie night with one of our featured films.
