A formidable steel door reminiscent of a bank vault leads to what is arguably the freshest seafood to be found in SoNo (or South Norwalk). The focal point of the elegantly understated dining room is an impressive, glistening six-foot glass sculpture, but it’s still the first-rate seafood that really shines. The sushi and rolls are fresh but standard; the Thai-flavored spice market tuna tartare, however, delivers a complex melody of exotic flavors and packs a noticeable but not overpowering kick. Miso-glazed mahogany sea bass is mild and delicate but no less flavorful; the miso is flecked with concentrated salt, which nicely balances with the fish.
