Although below ground level, Birmingham’s Ocean Grille remains a bright, cheerful and reliably predictable spot to enjoy a leisurely dinner before a movie in town or a suburban concert. The clientele remains loyal and folks return for the traditional preparations of fresh salmon, whitefish, tuna and lake perch. Maryland-style crabcakes are memorable with their roasted red pepper mayonnaise garnish and the black bean soup is a perfect palate-primer.
