 Columbus, Ohio-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has come to Atlanta, taking over the space once occupied by Sambuca Jazz Café, completely redesigning the interior. A brightly lit and quite visible kitchen now abides in the rear of the restaurant. Despite Ocean Prime’s name, a fair line-up of beef offerings can turn the place into a steakhouse at a moment's notice. However, seafood is the main draw. Some dishes come with rather odd embellishments. Calamari offers candied cashews for a grace note, but one may get the dish without it, and substitute a tartar sauce or aïoli for the sweet chili sauce. We suggest the scallops with green beans. Roasted garlic mashed potatoes make a good side. For dessert, check out the two-layer carrot cake with a light pineapple syrup. The wine list lines up a pastiche of global selections, with many by the glass. The Don Olegario Albariño is spot on with the scallops.
