THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Odyssey Grill Restaurant Review:
Odyssey Grill specializes in the cuisines of Greece and other Mediterranean countries. The mythic wanderings of the restaurants namesake are evoked by the murals, which recall the walls of some excavated temple. The menu centers on expertly grilled dishes---Moroccan chicken with garlic, coriander and cumin, or crisp-edged vegetables glistening with olive oil---as well as whole marinated fish, puffs of phyllo filled with spinach and feta, and a bounty of spreads and dips, such as the garlicky skordalia. Rosita Skias, Odysseys chef-owner, welcomes regulars with hugs then returns to the kitchen, where she cooks authentic Mediterranean dishes with an emphasis on Greek seafood. Friendly servers walk first-timers through the large menu to choose plump and crispy fried marinated oysters, grilled Gulf shrimp over orzo with fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, a wonderful spicy red snapper fillet wrapped in flaky phyllo pastry with a lemony wine sauce, and grilled soft-shell crabs with a chunky sauce of mushrooms, fennel, and grilled tomatoes.
