L.A. chef Andre Guerrero (currently of BoHo in Hollywood) is behind this fun, casual concept he calls “slow fast food.” Housed in an old burger joint, the renovated A-frame offers red banquettes inside and ample seating on a palm-studded patio. At the counter, you’ll be confronted by a menu creating a fundamental dilemma---sandwiches or chicken? The pastrami is nicely seasoned and the burgers solid, but we favor the rotisserie chicken. Although moistness can be an issue, it arrives at your table with a beautiful crisp, golden skin. The Belgian-inspired fries come with various dipping sauces, like roasted garlic aïoli or ancho-lime mayo. For dessert, finish your oinking with a peanut butter and jelly cupcake.
