Old Town Pizza Restaurant Review:

Located in a rustic wooden building formerly housing the Merchant Hotel (built in 1880), Old Town Pizza occupies a space with cozy nooks and crannies. A ghost is rumored to inhabit the elevator. While soaking up the atmosphere, indulge in thick, chewy-crusted pizza (gluten-free crust is actually decent) with your choice of fresh toppings, which lean toward the traditional: salami, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers. Several pasta dishes, salads and panini are available, and garlic knots are a popular side. Beer is comparable to other local microbrews, but with less pretension. The place’s commitment to socially and environmentally responsible practices, such as buying local produce, providing biodegradable plastics and using 100 percent renewable energy, gives it a decidedly 21st-century sensibility. Also located at 5201 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., 503-200-5988.
