Locals congregate here at breakfast for the freshly baked scones and cinnamon rolls, plus the ever-changing seasonal specials like mixed berry pancakes and crab cake omelets. At lunch, sandwiches come between slices of freshly baked breads, and soup might be swimming with chicken and cactus paddles. Dinner is only served Friday and Saturday nights. There is usually a jazz musician in the corner to give the casual space a nighttime vibe. The evening menu is farmers market driven so you never know what will show up, but past contenders have been Pacific halibut with citrus glaze, rabbit stew and pan-fried roast pork with fig jam. You'll want dessert because owner Merrie Jo Johnson can bake. Just ask the breakfast crowd.
