This sleek, stylish storefront in the far north dining scene is a good place to spend a warm summer night. French doors open wide to reveal a red-hued space with a mosaic bar, lipstick red seating and tunes by the likes of Celia Cruz. The menu is appealing from top to bottom---and it’s available late. Go for the flaky empanadas studded with ham or the croquetas jamón to start. Both come with fine chimichurri sauces. The grilled, tequila-marinated, chili de arbol-glazed pork loin and chiles rellenos are winners, too. Vegetarians will groove on the veggie grill and meat-free paella. For dessert, it’s hard to choose between the airy mango mousse cake and tres leches cake, but the latter gets our vote. |
