Olive Garden Restaurant Review: Why anyone would go to a chain Italian restaurant in a city with so many great independent Italian options is a mystery, but obviously there are diners patronizing this mass-market treatment of Italian American cuisine. The décor of stucco walls, beamed ceilings and terra cotta floors is formulaic, but pleasant. Inexpensive house wines keep company with standard pasta offerings, grilled and fried entrées and even some low-fat options---the little olive branch on the menu denotes a heart-healthy dish such as seafood brodetta and grilled chicken with a citrus-apricot sauce. Or splurge on cheesy lasagna or chicken Parm, or make your own breadstick pizza. Cheesecake or tiramisu are good choices for dessert. |
