There are several dining options at The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa, but even locals flock to Olivette. Executive chef Neal Cox oversees the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Such Texas pleasures as biscuits and sausage gravy are offered to the morning crowds, while risotto with Champagne scallions and foraged mushrooms followed by a whole roasted bronzino are options for date-night couples. Several of the dishes are composed of locally sourced meats and products, and there's even a grapefruit and Prosecco cocktail made with Texas’ Tito’s vodka. As well, Olivette offers delights from pastry chef Catherine Rodriguez, a full bar and a good wine list. And do check out the Sunday brunch for banana-stuffed french toast and mimosas. The restaurant boasts views of the eighteen-acre wooded grounds, evoking the feel of enjoying a repast in the countryside and not the bustling Galleria area.
