| While strolling downtown one day... Ollie’s offers a nice respite from the more trendy restaurants that come and go in downtown St. Petersburg and from the cluster of dining spots at nearby BayWalk. Popular for a business breakfast or a shopping lunch, the service is consistently friendly, and there’s a view of downtown strollers and even the waterfront. Ollie’s menu is standard and reliable. There are a dozen-plus sandwiches, a handful of salads and appetizers, and an expected gamut of seafood-oriented entrées, from fried shrimp and a cold shrimp platter to fried or broiled grouper or scallops. Aside from daily specials, the only non-seafood entrée is a strip steak. A changing choice of desserts is worth checking out. |
