Ono to Go is one of a new wave of food trucks in Hawaii that use social media to get the word out on their specials. Unlike the other food trucks, however, they serve up traditional, non-fusion, non-fussy lunch fare for locals in the area. They make their poke to order and only have two kinds, but it’s exactly what people are looking for: one, basic ahi shoyu poke, and the other, spicy ahi poke in a creamy mayo. Other items offered include Hawaiian plate lunches, grilled meats and salads. Go early to get your lunch and beat the line; once they run out of food --- and they do --- you’ll have to try your luck another day.
