Housed behind Slay's original venue within a converted dairy farm garage, the eatery boasts an al fresco dining space accented by rustic décor and Italian cuisine highlighted by ingredients culled from a garden maintained on the premises. Special Summer Menus at Sundried Tomato Café
Sundried Tomato Café in Laguna Beach and San Juan Capistrano has launched a host of special seasonal items designed to capture the spirit of summer. The new entrées are a combination of lighter, refreshing fare and kicked up renditions of comfort favorites. Dishes such as the sautéed seafood medley with jumbo shrimp, scallops, ahi and salmon served over a vegetable risotto are designed to counter the warmth of the season, while dishes like the BBQ pulled pork served with a chipotle barbecue sauce and caramelized onions have been created to highlight the summer's reputation for encouraging relaxing communal gatherings. Sunday Evening Summer BBQ Dinners at Duke's Place
Balboa Bay Club & Resort is featuring their annual Sunday Evening Summer BBQ Dinners throughout the season. Held on the outdoor terrace of Duke's Place restaurant, the special grilling sessions will feature classic barbecue items such as baby back ribs, Atlantic salmon, and corn on the cob along with the coastal sounds of calypso drum and reggae music. The cost is $29.50 for adults and $19.50 for children 12 and under. On Independence Day weekend and Labor Day weekend, the cost is $35 for adults and $22.50 for children 12 and under. Nieuport 17 Unveils Sunday Champagne Brunch
Nieuport 17 has added a champagne Sunday Brunch option to go along with their daily lunch and dinner offerings. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. every Sunday, the Tustin restaurant offers free-flowing champagne to go with a selection of traditional items such as their crab cake Benedict and chicken-fried steak and eggs, as well as modern takes on classic concepts like their Prime rib and crab hash, and seared jumbo scallops topped with spicy mango salsa.
