RESTAURANT NEWS

Openings

The popular build-your-own-burger concept Slater's 50/50 has unveiled plans to open up its third Orange County location. The restaurant, whose half-beef, half-bacon patty has helped them to develop a strong cult following with their Anaheim Hills and Huntington Beach venues, will roll out a south Orange County location in Lake Forest in early 2013.

Burger Parlor, the chef-driven burger joint that developed a cult following last year as a "pop-up" venue, has opened their highly anticipated permanent location in downtown Fullerton. Owner/executive chef Joseph Mahon will be serving up a selection of innovative, artisanal burger creations featuring Angus beef and fresh ingredients, as well as a long list of breakfast cereal-based milkshakes featuring such childhood favorites as Cap'n Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The venue will also feature salads, and an unpublished "secret" menu. Lunch & Dinner daily. Burger Parlor, 204 N. Harbor Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92832, 714-871-2012.
