This cousin of Londonâ€™s Origin India offers some of the best Indian cuisine in the Las Vegas valley, in a space enhanced by wood floors, black tables and candle-like lamps suspended from the high ceiling. The contemporary vibe of the dÃ©cor is also reflected in chef Kuldeep Singh's upscale interpretation of Indian dishes. For starters, familiar items like tandoori shrimp are infused with spices and kaffir lime, but presented elegantly with tamarind and raisin chutney and a balsamic reduction. Among entrÃ©es, we suggest the homey chicken curry made aromatic with lime leaves, as well as the roasted black cod served with a seasonal organic apple and fennel salad, roasted beetroot and a cod vinaigrette. Classic dishes are served family-style, but one may also opt for the chef's reasonably priced five-course tasting menu. Corn kernels cooked in pistachio-flavored milk is a dessert specialty, and icy kulfi comes in mango, chocolate or pistachio flavors. Origin India's talented mixologist is happy to pair fresh, signature cocktails that complement the cuisine.
