| Wood beams laden with hanging grape vines, lattice partitions and framed photos of famous Italian sites make for a stylized provincial setting. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming at this Norwalk trattoria. The menu consists of standards like an antipasti caldo, a combination of stuffed mushrooms and eggplant, peppers and breaded clams. There are also creative takes on classics, like the polpette di pesce, seafood meatballs cooked in a seafood-based sauce. For entrées, we recommend the vitello ai sette colli, veal scallopini topped with eggplant, mozzarella and peppers; and the gamberi Parmigiana, breaded shrimp covered in mozzarella and marinara. The reasonably priced wine list features Italian regional selections along with American and international options. |
