THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ostia Restaurant Review:

In a row of casual, fun eateries, it would be easy to overlook this unobtrusive Spanish tapas joint, but we hope you don’t. Besides the cozy inside, there’s a nice sidewalk space for lingering, people-watching, and most important, enjoying dishes like red peppers stuffed with blood sausage, pine nuts and capers offering a complex taste explosion. Likewise, filet mignon carpaccio, accompanied by dried artichokes, melts when it hits the tongue. The 15-month-aged Serrano ham, served thicker than one might find in the Old Country, is sliced at the table and loaded with enough audacity to make it a near obligatory order with every visit. Sure, the pressed-tin ceiling and views of bustling Seventh Avenue don’t exactly scream Spain, but when you’ve got a menu loaded with inventive dishes, who cares?
