THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ovio Bistro Eclectica Restaurant Review:

This little West Seattle bistro brought culinary interest to a neighborhood never before noted for high-end dining. So rapidly did its fame grow that owners Shing and Ellie Chin moved the place a mile south to a location triple Ovio’s original size---and it’s still hard to get a seat without a reservation. A little louder and less intimate than its former spot, Ovio has nonetheless maintained its reputation for fine service. Seafood is memorable: seared ahi with foie gras in a peppered Pinot Noir sauce, and miso-marinated black cod with grilled long beans and wasabi oil. The five-spiced duck---in a plum wine glaze with sweet potato gnocchi---is a winner, and vegetarians can’t go wrong with spiced pumpkin ravioli, served with wild mushrooms in a sage-honey butter. For dessert, consider the huckleberry cobbler. The menu also offers sides and small portions which, combined, also make a nice meal. Ovio has an excellent wine list with a range of by-the-glass selections, which Shing himself is glad to recommend when he tends bar.
