THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Oyster Bar Restaurant Review:

Located just off of the casino next to the high-limit gaming salon in the Hard Rock Hotel, this full-service restaurant and bar features fresh seafood that is flown in six days a week. Sixteen seats situated around a bar surrounding the kitchen prep area guarantee a prime view of the chefs in action and attention from your server. As soon as you settle in, you are greeted with addictive house-made chips seasoned with Old Bay, vinegar powder and sea salt, but save room for what’s on the menu. From the raw bar we like the ahi tuna tacos --- ahi, Sriracha aïoli and yuzu guacamole placed inside won ton shells. Calamari “fries” are formed from calamari steak and breaded in crushed peanuts and panko, and the tasty poblano corn chowder is enlivened with bacon and garlic oil. Specialties well worth considering are fish and chips made with tender European sea bass; New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp and grits with Tillamook Vermont sharp cheddar and andouille sausage; and shrimp scampi atop house-made linguine. Classic pan roasts cooked in tomato, cream, brandy and Creole seasoning come with options of shrimp, crab, lobster or a combination of all. Complementing the fresh seafood is a better than average craft beer list that includes Anchor Mango Wheat and locally-brewed Joseph James Citra Rye. Dessert is whoopee pies in flavors of strawberry, double chocolate and red velvet cake.
