P.F. Chang's China Bistro Restaurant Review: Located at Irvine Spectrum Center in front of Edwards Theaters, this renovated branch of the P.F. Chang's empire was practically tailor-made for the dinner-and-a-movie date crowd. A bustling scene and friendly service are apparent, as at all of the Chang's siblings. Fans will recognize that this location uses darker tones and intimate lighting to create a slightly more upscale vibe. Additionally, the venue's menu features special items that cannot be explored elsewhere. To experience this change of pace, start with sizzling black iron mussels served in a black bean butter, or the tasty herb encrusted ahi. Unique main dishes worth seeking out include the caramel mango chicken and the sweet water prawns covered in a black pepper glaze. For dessert, the cashew banana fritters present a worthy finish. The fairly extensive selection of wines by the glass does a good job of complementing the range of dishes.
