 A 40-foot-long Chinese mural is the first thing that catches the eye when you enter this splashy spot in upscale Fashion Island, but it's the scene and the friendly service that may bring you back. The updated versions of standard Cantonese dishes are prepared surprisingly well. We've enjoyed starters such as the salt and pepper calamari and the crab wontons. For those with a taste for the spicy, the Szechuan beef or shrimp should do the trick, although we're partial to the honey shrimp and the chicken in black bean sauce. Banana spring rolls add a nice touch at the end of your meal. Wines are chosen to match the food, and many are available by the glass.
