P.F. Chang's China Bistro Restaurant Review: Oklahomans hankering for Chinese food often head to P.F. Chang's, an outpost of the national upscale chain that is especially adept at handling large parties. The grill menu touts lemon grass prawns sprawled across garlic noodles, salmon glazed with citrus and soy and Chang’s Sichuan chicken flatbread. That said, the wok remains the kitchen's most widely used cooking method. You can get wok-seared lamb here, or stick with Chang’s tasty versions of beef, chicken and seafood. The traditional menu sports your favorite Chinese dishes like beef with broccoli and lo mein. The seafood section features honeyed shrimp, lightly battered, quickly fried and served in a flavorful sauce. You can’t help but like the sweet-and-sour chicken stir-fried with pineapple, bell peppers and onions. The menu identifies an extensive list of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes as well. The kid's menu also includes some healthier options, which is always a welcome sight. Desserts tend to be Americanized; we suggest the New York-style cheesecake crowned with fresh berries and raspberry sauce. Wash everything down with one of the specialty blended hot teas like the dragon eye oolong or the decaffeinated sweet ginger peach. |
