 THIS RESTAURANT IS NOW A PRIVATE EVENT SPACE Paces 88 American Bistro Restaurant Review: Dramatic, impressive and romantic, the flagship restaurant of The St. Regis Atlanta makes a fine backdrop for a pleasant dining experience. Joe Trevino has taken over all executive chef duties at the hotel, and his menus reflect a contemporary sense of cooking that has plenty of appeal. A spring vegetable cannelloni seems especially connected to the season, and the bone-in strip steak has a compelling he-man sensibility. Ably administered by one of the city's best sommeliers, Harry Constantinescu, the wine list is a huge book with global options, and he has vastly improved the by-the-glass offerings. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are good experiences to enjoy in some of the city's most elegant surroundings, and afternoon tea, for which reservations are required, is a St. Regis tradition. |
