Palm is a full-on, good old American steakhouse. It’s owned by the Italian-American Ganzi and Bozzi families who’ve been opening and running The Palm restaurants mainly in the U.S. for four generations. The décor is suitably club-like, all heavy wood with caricatures of famous people on the walls. The menu, too, is as you’d expect. Starters like broiled crab cake sit beside lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail. But the main point here is steak---juicy, well-cooked, but pricey steak. The formula is familiar to Americans---a house special of lobster, fish like yellowfin tuna, hash browns or hand-cut french fries. Desserts run the Key lime pie, chocolate fondant route. Service is full-on friendly U.S. style; the wine list adequate.
