| In addition to serving Thai cuisine---including some exotic dishes you won't find back at your suburban shopping center---this lively spot is the wildest and wackiest Thai restaurant you'll ever step foot in, at least on this side of the Pacific. Most of the intrigue has to do with the resident song stylist, Kevin, better known as The Thai Elvis. He belts out a big repertoire of Elvis hits, dressed just the way you'd expect the King himself to dress on a Vegas stage. The menu offers good renditions of the usual Thai favorites, but this is Thai Town, so you'll find some more interesting items as well, such as deep-fried trout in mango sauce, quail with mint leaves, sort of a Thai steak tartare, wild boar in a spicy curry sauce, pepper-garlic frog, and spicy venison. By the way, at Palms, the word spicy on the menu is to be taken seriously. |
