Palo Alto Pizza Co. Restaurant Review

: Primarily serving the local tech worker community at lunchtime, Palo Alto Pizza Co. has straightforward booths and tables, a self-serve soda machine, and big-screen TVs and art memorabilia hanging on brick walls. While diners can build their own traditional pies, the restaurant's topping combinations are worth exploring and feature something new to the area: a Korean barbecue pizza, which the owner claims is the first of its kind in NorCal though it has strong LA roots. It has a tangy Korean barbecue sauce, fresh white and green onions, beef, hot mayonnaise and cilantro, and all come off at appropriate temperatures with the meat hot and the onions still crisp. Thin-crust pizzas run to NYC-average thickness, and the thick-crust pies lean towards deep-dish. Grilled chicken, diced tomatoes and basil, finished with garlic sauce and cheese, is a bruschetta option. Slices, a salad bar, wings and a selection of beers are also available.
