| Classy, contemporary and part of the Seattle-based Restaurants Unlimited group, Palomino provides a sophisticated, high-energy setting and a contemporary menu with appeal for downtown shoppers, movie-goers and casual business diners alike. Anchored in Mediterranean cuisines, favorites include the cracker-crust pizzas---ideal to accompany drinks---and the calamari fritti, a dynamite appetizer to share. We also recommend the salads and pastas, such as the fettuccine with seared scallops and prawns in a creamy Alfredo sauce or the simple cappellini pomodoro. The ample seafood Louie comes with generous amounts of salmon, crab and bay shrimp in a light Champagne vinaigrette. Another salad includes mixed greens and sliced, grilled chicken breast tossed with Maytag Blue cheese, pear wedges, and candied pecans. Wood-fired ovens produce spit-roasted duck, tender lamb shanks, Penn Cove mussels, and whole striped bass stuffed with lemon and rosemary. A second Palomino---with equally high energy but less charm---is located in Bellevue. |
