Plácido Domingo's second act in the restaurant biz is Pampano (his pan-Latino Domingo, which was in the same space, closed). This time Richard Sandoval of Maya is heading the kitchen. The Mexican seafood menu offered in the high-ceilinged room includes a smoked-swordfish dip, a raw bar selection of ceviches and oysters, and dishes such as scallops spiced up with a salsa of prickly pear and watermelon, and blue cornmeal-crusted oysters. Between the whitewashed walls and soft lobster tacos, you'll swear you were just at a Mexican seaside resort.
