Panda Pavilion Restaurant Review: Panda Pavilion features authentic Chinese cuisine from the Cantonese, Szechuan and Hunan provinces, as well as a Japanese menu. The casual but elegant setting includes a tank of tropical fish and subtle Chinese decorative accents. Begin with the chicken corn soup with a touch of sweetness to whet the appetite. Spicy crab Rangoon is a departure from traditional Chinese cuisine, but tasty nonetheless. Try the dry sautéed beef, which is shredded and served with carrots and celery in a spicy brown sauce. Those opting for a tamer, but no less flavorful selection will enjoy the thick slices of filet mignon sautéed in an orange sauce spiced up with scallions, garlic and ginger. Seafood lovers will enjoy the Shan Tan orange scallops, a generous portion of tender sea scallops with delicate citrus notes. Inventive sushi rolls bring even more variety to the already diverse menu.
