| This place is practically an institution in Chicago. Not that we would go out of our way to eat here, but for neighborhood regulars who have trouble shaking off the droplets of nostalgia, there is nothing quite like it. The atmosphere is zero, but if you need a shot of red sauce Italian, this is the place. Dishes include fried calamari, minestrone soup, a stuffed artichoke, lasagna and house-made gnocchi. All the usual suspects. And there is a fine meatball sandwich, too. |
