THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Parea Restaurant Review:

With its wrought iron trellis under an orange ceiling, Parea (meaning "a group of friends") is a Greek temple for Cleveland’s Michael Symon. Mezes---both hot and cold---demonstrate the finesse of the kitchen. Lobster-stuffed grape leaves; yellowtail, tuna and scallop ceviche; and grilled shrimp kalamaki in a tomato, cinnamon and feta sauce produce fireworks on the palate. But the specialties are house-cured meats, such as the lamb hiromeri with its accompanying tart pickles. The delicate halibut avgolemono with favas, spring peas and lemon broth conjures images of Santorini. Luckily, the desserts also are meze-size. The blood orange tart---where the citrus sweet meets crunchy pistachios and silky ice cream---is well done. Until vacationing in the Greek Islands becomes a reality, a reservation at Parea should suffice.
